Welcome

Well I must say it's pretty restrictive this planting by the moon. Today was a flower day, as the moon is in Libra, an air sign and flowering plants are related to air signs. This is the first year I have tried this growing method and it's supposed to produce higher yields in vegetables and flowers, stronger displays and heightened colour, so watch this space and I will keep you informed.

This is also my first entry into my new Garden Diary or blog as some of you might say, or so I've been told, but I prefer Diary as I'm a bit old fashioned. I'm Wilbert by the way and I've been gardening for , well let's just say a few years! But this technology stuff is all new to me, so I hope you'll not be too hard on me if I make a mistake or two?!

Enough about me for now, let's talk about the green stuff. It was finally warm enough today to put my courgette seedlings into the cold frame to harden off before planting out. But in accordance too and adhering to the moon, I set about tending to my flower bed. I planted some peonies, cardouns (thistles) and astrantia's, weeding the perennial beds as I went along. I didn't get round to sowing my artichoke seeds - to do on the next flower day - as I got carried away tidying my veg beds in preparation for planting.
